Must be like a - one size fits all- application because of how awful it looks.

Ive read good reviews on it and its cheaper than expels track wrap..
It's definitely not pretty but as long as it protects.. that's all i care about.

I ordered it and It only took a couple days for delivery.
I will update after my track day on ease of install/removal and how it protected.

I personally think it looks aweful. My expel covers pretty much most of the front so maybe just a tiny amount not covered. I'm happy to leave that as it...

That's cute that some think xpel alone is enough protection.

But it has "magical" self healing properties.

I'm real glad I already have Expel on my car but I'm definitely gonna fortify all front facing bits with TrakTape.

I use Trakk Tape on top of my custom vinyl wrap for track days. It's not supposed to look pretty, its temporary wrap for the track not for garage queening. Expel/ClearBra won't hold up to multiple track days, it will get pitted especially on the side sills. Trakk Tape works well. Very tacky but comes off without hassle. I end up covering my front fascia, front half of the hood, front half of the roof, side sills and behind the tires mostly. Essentially the areas that get sandblasted on the track. Trakk Tape may leave some residue behind but comes off pretty easily with a wash. Definitely saves a lot of time when it comes to cleaning track rubber off the paint in those areas but I use it to help against pitting over time. Their smallest roll will last maybe two track days. Get the larger rolls if you're going to use this for multiple track days. Another member here used a product call track wrap. It essentially came in a box that looked like a very large Saran Wrap carton but much thicker and wider. Whatever you use, good idea to go over the area with a detail spray before applying. It helps with removal.

No, sorry meant dry. Just a good wipe down of the area before applying.

K' this was my experience with the TrakkTape.

Timing of the universe meant I was applying TrakkTape at the Track.

Arrived at the Track early Saturday morning, but discovered it wasn't enough time to completely cover the front fascia before my first session.
Got 1/3 the way down the center of the hood (working top down with about 1/8" overlap) and the center of the front fascia.
Didn't have time to finish it before my first session (cuz it was hectic!! Getting the Tech Inspection, Registration, the Drivers Meeting, HPDE school and a ride around the track with the Instructors). If the entire front of the car didn't have a clear bra I woulda been way more concerned.. but it does, so I didn't worry about it too much.

Here she is coming out of turn #4 (I think it's turn #4) with the 2/3rds baked TrakkTape job:
    trakkTapeSmall_Saturday.jpg

Looking pretty good. Can hardly tell it's on the hood. The tight bendy parts is where it gets a little messy.
Added a little more tape on Saturday but still didn't finish (too much fun hangin' out with the Viper crew and talking to general folks about the car )

Sunday Morning, was able to take my time and do things at my own pace.

So here she is with the front fascia completely tapped up.. n' this is into the afternoon on Sunday after a number of sessions, a 125mph miles long run and sitting in the
    desert sun for two days.
    trakkTapeSmall_Sunday.jpg

The stuff definitely did its job. After my last run late Sunday I removed all the TrakkTape and she still looks perfect.

With more practice can do a MUCH BETTER application job. I'm sure there's an optimal technique.
I saw other cars TrakkTaped with varying degrees of success. Mine was about average.
Also saw a number of other cars with Blue painters tape.. and a couple with some other unknown tape.

Next time, I'll do all the easy flat parts at home, and then save the tuff bendy bits after I arrive at the track.

    Hope this helps.

Cant tell from the pics but did you apply it to the rocker panels and the entire strip between the wheel wells?
Just curious if it hold up to the heat.

Nope. Just the front fascia, 1/3 of the hood and bits of the side mirrors. That's all I did.
Track was really clean as long as you stay in the line and out of the marbles.
