    Black fuel door how to

So I've been seeing a lot of pics of these cars with the fuel door assembly in black and I was just curious if there was any instructional how to remove the assembly from the car so I can have it painted or coated along with the Viper GT badges and center caps from the wheels?

I just did mine, took about 45 mins. I skipped half the steps from the Jack B post. I peeled back the wheel liner and then removed the 4 10mm nuts. Pushed the gasket through and the cap came right off. Put the new one on and used a short flat screwdriver to push the gasket back from the inside.

Did you reattach the ring terminal?

Yes, the only one I had to remove was the one connected to the post closest to the wheel liner. I did not have to cut anything.

I should also clarify that I used a stubby large flat screwdriver to push the gasket back onto the door. A small one would push through the gasket.
