    Tint or No Tint

Debating whether or not I want to tint my 08 vert. 35% is the legal limit in NC. I've seen darker tint on a hardtop VVO 4th gen with black stripes/black wheels that looked really good, can't decide on mine though. Opinions greatly appreciated!

Tint. When I have my annual inspection the guys don't even open the hood. about three of then stand around saying what a great car it is, turn on the lights, honk the horn and sign off. I have dark tinted windows and they have never checked them.

No tint on a vert personally. When top is down and the rare occasion u have a window up it really looks like ass to me.
I like the way coupes look tinted for sure, but will not tint mine because it is hard enough to see out of. Don't need to make it worse.

yeah, I like the look of tint when it's closed up, but I drive the convertible with the top down and windows up most of the time on the highway... any tint with the roof down looks off I think.

I want to tint my vert at some point. I always have the windows/top down when driving, but would like the added protection of tint when the car is parked and the windows/roof up (so no one can look in and find something to steal).

I have had verts nearly all my life. Never once locked any of them (Jeeps to XKEs) and never had an issue. Well, actually I had a miata that I locked at an airport. Came back to a failed attempt at a stereo removal and a sliced top. Keep the interior clean and free of clutter, and a stock head unit and ul be fine. No sense buying a new top with ur new head unit!
Cant believe people leave their $650 radar detectors mounted in a locked car nowadays. A rock and a quick crash and dash is too temping.

I have my windows/top down 90% of the time too, but lately it's just been so damn hot that it's miserable to drive like that (105+ heat index today for example). Not as much of a safety/theft issue for me, it would just be nice not to get 2nd degree burns after having it sit in a parking lot for 20 minutes lol.

I spent 60 seconds in MS Paint for a nice ghetto prototype and I have to agree that it looks better on a coupe.

You tint the shit out of it and then sit around and wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

Mine are 15% up front and 5% on the back.

Now photoshop it with the top down and windows up! Lol
Hell, maybe just use a good clear tint or a very light tint (winsdscreen included) just to help keep the sun glare and heat at bay.
But hell, do what makes u all fuzzy inside...she's ur baby!

Thanks to NC laws "legally" I'm stipulated to 35%, but maybe that'll be enough.
