Frankly, Vipers are easier to drive long distances than Ferraris or Lambos.

Glad you did it! I drove then Gen 2 from Jacksonville to Miami when i bought it. Nowhere near as long but driven plenty on longer trips. I’ve driven the Gen 2 on six 2,000+ mile cruises with a car club. I just got back from one with the Gen 5. Is do them all again. I love the car on long trips.

Def an awesome trip. Except for michigan and ohio, like most of you said roads were BAD!!
I drove mine from FL to Detroit and back for the CAAP closing ceremony. As long as we got out every 1/2 tank to gas up and walk around- the drive was a piece of cake.

I bought my '08 SSG coupe this past Friday, drove it TN to NY (660 miles) and beat the snow. Not that it matters, but 24 MPG and a great vacation.
Congrats, Tom...great choice !! Glad you best the snow and cold temps.
I don't send or receive "PM's" since I prefer DIRECT communication.

Absolutely drive it. I have driven my 2004 from Toronto to Naples Fla a couple of times. First time was with run flats, second time was without. If you have run flats, change the rubber. Otherwise the ride is a little bumpier and the ruts in the road kill the experience
Bought mine out of Austin Texas, flew myself and a buddy in and took turns driving back Cleveland Ohio. Best 3 day, 6 tanks of gas, 1500 mile road trip ever. Glad I did it over having it shipped!
