    2019 One Lap of America

I see there’s a couple other Vipers registered, anyone from this board? This will be my first time doing the event, curious if the vets could share any Viper-specific wisdom to help out a lap pup.

Right now I’m trying to figure out what to pack, trying to keep it light so it’ll all fit inside. Prefer to avoid a trailer or external storage if possible.

    Thanks!

Hello, My Son and I will be in it again this year.
What would you like to know?
You must be in the Blue Viper from California?
As far as Viper specific......can't help you there. We ran the Event last year in a Roush Mustang. I am New to the Viper World.....I can tell you everyone is great and more than willing to help....it's a GREAT time!

What sort of ride heights do people usually go with on an ACR? Is 4” front 5.5” rear too low given all the street miles?

I could be mistaken, but anticipate people probably aren't changing ride heights for the track and commute portions of One Lap? Instead choosing a single compromise setup, with maybe only shock changes?

I'm running tires a bit taller than stock, so to hit the prescribed frame height numbers means my car will need to geometrically be lowered further than usual.

Maybe just curious as to the general bumpiness of the tracks, and of the commute. How are the highways out there, driveway approach angles? What heights have people been happy with, has anybody run something and regretted it being too high or too low?

It doesn't take long to change ride heights, especially once you know exactly how many turns you need to raise/lower from track to street height. That being said I drive both my cars at a little below recommended track height and have no issues on the street. You just gotta be careful and hit speed bumps, driveways etc at an angle. I run really tall rear tires as well and have no issues running track frame heights (I run a little below usually around 5.25" and 3.75")
