    Paging Goonzsquad

In any case, roll racing at a drag strip ranks up there in dumb ideas (imo) and this is coming from an avid racer. Margin for error is minimal.

Oh my friend that looks pretty bad... Sucks to see that even though all of us know this is a chance when you’re pushing the limits. Strip, road course, showing off all have that risk. Anyone thinking otherwise needs to probably not drive a performance car period... it’s not just a viper thing kids!

Wasn’t an attempt to show a lack of compassion. I was saying that relative to some of the really bad drag racing accidents I have seen. Hoping everything is fine.

Hit hard enough to knock a section of the concrete guardrail out.

yep...I'd say that frame is toast. I wonder what size drag radials he was using. Looked kind of on the small side for 2000hp.

There are not a lot of tire choices, this looks (tread pattern) like a 345X18 MT. At that level of hp with a manual shift (assumption) unless the car has traction control no drag radial is the full answer. This looks like a driveline issue, just hoping all works out well for him.

Wrecks like this really aren't uncommon at the drag strip, it's just uncommon being a Viper.

At my local track, when there's guardrail damage, they shut down until it's repaired. This can take a looong time.

not sure which tire he's on, but the car is a PPG sequential utilizing motec for engine and traction mgmt.

That probably means traction control. What is strange, it looks like a 16 or 17" wheel, but. the tire has a tread pattern like a MT 345 DR

Sticky track, One tire not warmed up enough or lost grip Bang! Could be UJ Strap broke?

New frame for sure. And a couple of buckets of Cement for the wall

If the owner is on here, Sorry to see that Hope you get the car sorted I feel your pain.
