What is the best size for the fronts if going with the Michelin PSS? 285/35ZR18 would be a little taller than OEM, but it looks like it'd be the closest to OEM size that Michelin offers.

The Kumho V720 ACR that set some records and impressed Pobst is available in the rear size, but not the front. Great... However, the front is available in the same dimensions but a 19" wheel size.

Am I better off upgrading my wheels and going with the Kumho for a good balance of track and street...? I will most likely upgrade wheels regardless so this seems to eliminate a set of OEM tires by just doing wheels and tires together.

All input appreciated. Track days would be weekend warrior status, not competitive. Thanks!

I just spoke with Luke P. at Tire Rack today. He told me that a shipment of Pirelli P Zero (not Corsa's) Viper Tires are due in this Thursday. These are 355 rear tires (they have plenty of fronts in stock). He says they will be filling all the back orders and have additional rear tires to fill new orders.

I am looking at this option as well. Does anyone have any insight on this?

I believe that's the size I just ordered from jonb. Getting the tires mounted Friday, I'll update then. My corsas are shot and I daily my viper, rain or shine. I'll post some impressions after a few days with it.

Jon, you are a saint! Without your help and patience, I probably would have let my GTS sit until the next batch of PSS/PS2s get manufactured and release. The P-Zero Rossos should last me until the Michelin PSSs are out again.

This is the size I just got put on yesterday from jon. No issues from what I can tell, car seems to ride slightly smoother with the bigger sidewall. (It also seems less twitchy than my corsas but I think that's because they were old and worn) When the Michelins are cold, (it was 40F out this morning) they seems to grip way above my expectations versus the corsas I had on the car in the cold. I don't think they will come close to thee corsas when they got warm but really impressed so far. I'm excited to see how they do in the rain/over the winter.

    Glad U like the PSS....

PSS are GREAT in the rain. I ran them at PIR for years. One weekend in heavy rain, 125-130 mph on front straight, spectator track rats said I was "Throwing up a rooster-tail like a speed boat"

Jon, what michelins work with the 18" front venoms (gen V)? 295/30-18
I going back to my stock wheels and cannot find the right front tires in 18" diameter.

'Venom' is just a wheel style. We have the Pirelli OE tires back in stock, Low Numbers, but can ship today or tomorrow. DON'T SIMULTANEOUSLY RUN MICHELINs AND PIRELLIs ON THE SAME CAR. They corner and brake and compress-rebound differently.

We also have 2 Michelin options

Always had traction issues with pirellis on any car even my old LP560 that was AWD. Switched to Michelins and the ride is MUCH improved and so is grip.
