Absolutely not. Look at the maintenance cost of the F 430 if anything goes wrong.

You won't be happy with 430. I've had friends buy and sell pretty quickly. I hate to say it, but you need to step up to 458. The car is a much, much better performer but the pricing also reveals that fact. If you have a Stryker purple GTS, you have a much prettier car that will turn more heads wherever you go. And the driving experience is second to none. If you have an ACR, then you need to have your head examined.

Agree with the above, straight up needs to be a 458 or Huracan.

430 No 458 nice car but as others have said.....Running costs take you into a whole different ball park! Viper is a rarer car

I understand the draw to a Ferrari, Im in the same boat. However in your situation, keep the much more rare stryker purple viper. Its much newer, more rare, cheaper to maintain, faster, and I'll bet will be worth more down the road. The Ferrari has been replaced by the 458, then the 488, and now the F8. This will push its value down. The viper has no replacement. I'd love to get a 488 GTB but when I factor in these points, Im happy with my viper.

^^^^This! Honestly I have driven the 430, 458 and the 488 F cars. The 430 no way, in fact I kinda like the 360 better. But I'm with Scott if you have an ACR go see a shrink and then go track the ACR lol

This. If I could afford it, would be the Huracan. But your Gen 5 is a much better car than the 430.

Depending on mileage of Demon, that is definitely the better deal especially if you are worried about resale. But that's a completely different experience than a Viper.

Have you considered a Mac MP4-12C? Should be close to your price range. Great cars if you can find one with a well documented history and 8k to 12k miles on the ODO. You want a car with some miles on it because it gives you a good yardstick to determine whether it has been problem-prone or not. If not, then the cars are generally very solid (Nissan derived engines are very strong and robust).

For what it's worth I sold my '17 ACR in the summer of '18 as a trade on a 2005 F430 manual. Within 8 weeks I got the dealer to buy the 430 back and track down the ACR...which I bought back! Expensive mistake.

    Previous to the 430 I had a 2001 360 Modena manual...a car I much preferred to the softer 430.

All that is to say is be sure you'll enjoy the car before worrying about values. No matter how excited I was to own a rare and beautiful manual F430 I didn't love driving it and that was a deal breaker for me.

Also, as many have commented the Ferrari tax is no joke. Even though the 430 is probably the one of most reliable Ferraris ever, if and when something goes wrong it can be shocking.

At a recent Cars and Coffee, I drove past some parked Ferraris and everyone was looking at the Viper. I even heard an Italian lady say "Bellissimo!" as I drove by. Hopefully this puts things into perspective.

    What he said.

Also, since you asked about value. There is a much bigger supply of 430's, a little over 14,000 produced vs 3,913 gen V's (a lot smaller # for ACR's).

I'll never go back to Ferrari after the train wreck in sh!t breaking with my 355 and later 430. Fuck Ferrari. Overpriced piles of sh!t. The Viper is way more fun to drive and they can be daily driven with out paying $10k/yr in maintenance.

I can't say about a 458 or 488. But I'm not willing to drive them to find out. I put no less than 20kmi/yr on my sports cars. That's a no-no with Ferrari. A Huracan or Gallardo might be better. I can truthfully say the LP640...sucks pass on that too.
