    GEN 2 plug wires

I am having my intake and valve covers color changed to blue and silver and looking to change the plug wires to Blue. There are a bunch of different ones out there at prices ranging from $80-225. Looking to see if there is any real evidence on one being better than the other. Also will the 145 degree bend on some of them actually fit.
Here is a list of potential wires:

    Quality wires: $193

    Taylor: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F281803773277 $97

    Scott: https://sparkplugwires.com/scott-hot...set-gen-i-iii/ $110

    Scott: https://sparkplugwires.com/scott-dod...set-gen-i-iii/ $160

After melting several sets of "Quality" wires, combined with finding out who makes them, the markup on them and others that sell them for less, I ended up going with ceramic wires from VSP. No more junk overpriced wires and no more melting. Mopar wires are also very good quality if you can do grey.

Those look to be a set of Accel9000 Ceramic wires with a fiberglass sleeve. Probably $150 bucks max in parts, you bought them for $400

I run MSD. Few years ago I measured the resistance on MSDs vs Qualities and it was considerably less.

I don't think you can beat the price and quality for Scott Performance Wires..... Scott passed away a couple years ago but was known for building wires for NASCAR.

I'm about to update my wires and thinking about going with Scott. I called MSD this morning and they no longer offer an application for the Gen II. Weird

So one question, what is the factory mm for the wires? I always thought 10mm so I didn't snag any that were 8mm or so.

    Stock wires 8mm

    Blue MOPAR GTS-R wires 8.5mm

Note on the Mopar Blue wires above, These were designed for the GTS-R Race cars, the coil packs on the GTS-R Engines were on the front of the Engine (Not the back) so the lengths and neat alignment of the wires is difficult to achieve Also the Heat shielding on the wires will not allow the OEM Wire clips to be fully utilised.
That's why my wires look a bit untidy in the above pic.

That is true for Part #P4876844, but the ones above are P5007309 and work with rear mounted coil packs.

My luck with the Mopar Performance wires has been that great. The spark plug boots crack. OE or Denso seem to work best. Use spark plug boots if you have headers.

If you check the OE packaging in photo I think you will see that these blue G2 Mopar wires were last manufactured in 2005.

That means they are already at least 15 years old NOS.

15 year old USED wires are crap....but 15-year old unused NOS wires have probably begun to degrade a bit with age....
