    Gen 4 ACR what tires to use for the street

    I purchased a 2009 ACR it has Toyo proxes R888's on it?
    Is the michelin pilot sport cup 2 my only option for street?

    I've been running the Pirelli Corsas on the street without issue.

    I'm not tracking the car. When I tried using different vendors "tire finder" it shows track tires. So I went on tire rack by using size, I'm gonna put Pilot Sport PS2 on the front and Pilot Super Sports on the back. This way I can stay with factory sizes, but get a more road friendly tire.
    Thanks for the input.

    You dont have to mis-match your tires!

    PartsRack has 5 DOT options... [Your Avatar not an 09 ACR??}

    If you have R888 as stated, they are probably old. R888 is was discontinued some time ago in Viper sizes. Can you decipher your date codes? Treadwear?

    Old, Hardened R-compound hockeypucks can make your ACR into an ORV!

    Email or call to discuss options.... Ive been told we have great service and prices.... I also have an 09 ACR << and can compare for you...

    You can put Super Sports on front and back , don't mismatch, even the same brand as Jon B. noted. If street only , and the car is not being tracked the Super Sports or P Zeroes are good street driving choices and will ride better , be quieter and not tramline as much as the more aggressive DOT Comp. style rubber. Good luck.
