TA 1 0 vs TA 2 0 suspension

Since there is very limited information on the TA 2.0, does anyone know if the TA 2.0 has the same suspension as the TA 1.0 or are there any differences? I know between the '14 TA 1.0 and the 15+ TA 1.0, the shocks are tuned slightly differently. Given the additional aero of TA 2.0 (dive planes and wing) I would think the shock dampening (rebound and compression) be different.

Any thoughts?

The shocks are pretty much the same, just differently tuned and different spring rates to compensate for the change in downforce.

Numbered TA 1s seem to be holding value more than 2s if you care about that. But I like the look of the 2s and the 2s are better on the track because of the higher downforce. I had #4 Comp Blue 2015 TA 2. Very good car and other than TA orange can't beat the color. The only thing I would do is install the Racing Brakes reduced bias rear calipers otherwise the rear end wiggle under heavy braking is unnerving.

I never even knew there was a difference. Does anyone know the exact differences between the TA1 and TA2? I have always referred to the alignment sheet that shows SRT, GTS, TA, and ACR. There was never a differentiation between TA1 and TA2. Thought they were the same this whole time.

No specs on the dampers and they are a huge factor when it comes to ride comfort, handling and performance. My guess is there could be a minor difference but unlikely to be very much.

I guess you can look up the part numbers on the dampers to see if they differ?

I suspect the mechanicals in the damper valving are the same, based on the spring rates. Perhaps slight changes made to the damper programming to accommodate the added aero.

Spring rates would be the first component to change spec to account for increased aero, so like you said, spring rates (and sway bar rates) the same so valving likely the same too. Damper valving reportedly changed between what was chosen with Pobst's input for '14 and the '15 TA1s in response to owner feedback, not sure of source or accuracy, so it's also possible there were other changes related to ride comfort or whatever affecting either or both TA 1's and 2's. Hopefully one day we'll find out.
