Mine is installed in the passenger side and thinking about moving it to the rear and get the TKO Motorsports carbon panel.

Kicking the idea around of changing over the Safecraft bottle with an automated thermal release value. I would likely go with the version that has both automated and manual releases.

My passenger seat is out, so mounted it far back on passenger side floor-

Looks good, always love your updates on your never ending pursuit of the Colin Chapman "add lightness" method of making your viper faster.

Side note I can't remember the last time I saw Ford GT with the rear bumper still on it.

Nice, unfortunately I need to keep my passenger seat for coaching instructions. I'm surprised yours fit lengthwise. Why is the manual release cable fixed to that cylindrical aluminum piece on the side of the bottle? Most configurations I've seen they're connected to the top of the bottle.

Anyway sorry for derailing the original topic and return you to your original program.

That's how all of them from this company are- http://www.essfire.com/
It's SFI rated. Not sure what the advantage is of them doing it that way

Thanks for the link, will look into these more. The 7lbs bottle does open up more options in terms of install location.

    Arizona,

What were the best bang-for-buck weight reductions you've done to date?

If you're going to track it, 18" Forgeline's and Hoosier's will save about 80 lbs over the factory wheels and tires.

That's an absolutely massive drop, especially from rotational mass. Must make a giant difference.
Any other big bang-for-buck weight loss options for street use?
Maybe the OEM seats for something like Recaros or Tillets? Doesn't seem the exhaust has too much fat to lose?

Yeah they are boat anchors for sure, to handle all the downforce. The kumhos are extremely heavy too. Factory seats are 54 lbs each including bracket. You can lose like 70 lbs going with Doug Shelby's Tilett kits he sells the seats, brackets, airbag sensor etc all in one kit- http://www.dougshelbyengineering.com/tillett.html
