Prototype Comp Coupe Bugatti Veyron Mclaren Senna don t see this every day

So I just took delivery of my new (for me) 2002 Competition Coupe Prototype P4 from BJ Motors.

I arranged with New World Auto Transport for delivery from Houston to NC - the owner there, Steve Wells, is a Viper owner and enthusiast, so I knew he'd take care of me. Still, I was a bit concerned about it being transported without any issues - would the guys handling the car be familiar with such a vehicle?

During transport the drivers called me and told me that while doing another vehicle pickup, they had to move the viper around, and the Viper ran a bit and then simply died - they thought it ran out of gas. Which is possible I guess, as the fuel cell had been recently replaced, and maybe there wasn't much gas in it. But it still worried me that maybe the car was broken before I even got it. Or maybe these guys didn't know what they were doing with the car. I didn't sleep all that well that night as I was thinking about the possiblities.

It arrived yesterday and my concerns diminished as they opened up the transporter.

That's a Bugatti Veyron above my car.

That's a Mclaren Senna in front of my car (also $1M+ car).

The only other car on the trailer was a "lowly" V12 Aston Martin.

They took very good care in unloading the viper.

We added some gas - after coughing a bit, it started up strong and seems to run fine - now my adventure begins. As one of the Comp Coupe Prototypes, it was used as a test vehicle, but it's been sitting for 10 years in storage. So I'll be going through it to make sure she's road worthy. Then I may get it on track a bit, and take it to a car show or two - I'm pretty fluid on my plans for it, but I don't plan to keep it under glass - stay tuned.

Hope to see you out there!

    Mark,

Looks great!!! When I first saw no start, I was thinking battery, they don't last forever! Put it on a charger.

I laughed when I read "road worthy?" My friends and neighbors always say to drive it down my street. That's when I point to the splitter and tell them you have to be really careful on theses streets!! Best wishes!! Mike

When my Gen 2 was delivered to me, there was an LFA parked in front of it. The transporter started it and revved it for me.

Fortunately it really was just out of gas. When they replaced the fuel cell they must have put a bare minimum back in to test it.

Yeah, I really meant to say "track worthy". We couldn't even get it across the parking lot and into the shop / warehouse without it scraping. It took a spotter, some clever maneuvering and lots of thin wood slats to get it up and into the shop - I couldn't have done it by myself!

That's pretty cool - yeah I asked if I could climb up and get a selfie with the Bugatti and they said a very firm "NO!".

Not that I would kick one out of bed for eating crackers, but I cannot move past how damn ugly the Senna is.

I think the SENNA GTR is sex on wheels. If I had $1.5M to drop on a car that would be in my garage

Nope. Sorry. That car is an abortion.

I'll take a DeTomaso P72 instead. You'll never be fastest. You can only have a great time.

No they are not - it will be "roadworthy" only on a racetrack.

Thank you all for your congrats! I feel very honored and fortunate to be the caretaker of this car.
