    Interesting Assembly Sticker

I though this was an interesting sticker. It is on the frame rail near the differential. I assume the 01-12 was near the start of assembly. I ordered the car in November and got it in April.

Interesting to say the least. Next time mine is on the lift I will take a better look to see if there is anything similar.

Check the MDH (Month Day Hour) on the bottom of your door sticker. SOLD means it was a customer order, not a stock order.

You actually have to pull the belly pan to see it. It is on the inside of the frame rail just in front of the differential. I'm not sure if it meant "careful, customer's car" or "no rush, it's already sold". LOL

I think you are right. Here is a photo of my car at the plant, and it looks like the same sticker is on the driver's side windshield. One thing I thought about was that my car had the rear end replaced at the plant before delivery after they discovered some differentials with the wrong lubricant fill. Maybe they stuck the sticker near the differential for record keeping during the differential swap?

Pappy, the “sold order” means there’s a customer (consumer) name associated with it. I think your window sticker will have a name, yours or whoever initially ordered it.

I think they can preference a sold order on the build sequence. My dealer friend who used to own Avondale Dodge would call me from time to time saying he put my name in for a sold order Viper

Yep, the window sticker has "[I]This vehicle built especially for"[I] with my name under it.

I believe "sold" customer orders get priority from what's been said in discussions with my dealer friend. Bill can probably confirm if that's true or not.

Strange that the sticker was on the frame rail. Sold orders do get a bit of priority but mainly from an aged unit tracking perspective. We always wanted to get the sold orders into the customer's hands. This is typical for any plant. I've never seen the sticker on a frame rail or other part as a means of tracking in-plant retrofits. We would of tracked and prioritized work based on the VIN and typically a colored 1" round sticker or tracking sheet. Strange indeed.
