Thanks guys, it’s my car. Priorities changing and downsizing the garage a bit.

I love that car. Good luck with your sale, I hope it brings the moon for you!

Did it really have four owners in 792 miles?

Jon, Listing says CarFax error and only 2 owners (says AutoCheck is correct @ 2)

On another note, really pissed they just canceled the NY Auto Show, I was really looking forward to going. Take care, Mike

I hope adding the 18 speakers and cargo carpet to an ACR doesn't hurt its value too bad. LOL

    Beautiful car, BTW!

Any options that added weight make it not a real ACR

    A new high for a 2016 ACR - $278K. The previous highs were $269.5K and $262K. Congrats!

The common thread seems to be very low mileage.

    Big number. Congrats to Brian!!

Pretty soon we should have enough data to determine whether 16 vs 17, BDEC vs BDED, and SE vs non-SE makes any difference in the resale market.

Without looking at it, it sounds like it may just be extremes with low mileage as the main to determinative factor for the strongest resale pricing.

Well yeah, low miles for sure like any car/genre. Let's see what pops up, wonder if there's any 1, 3, 5, 10 mile cars that will pop up.
When I bought mine, I told everyone I know they will be $500K cars in 10 years, but only if you park them. I thin if you are successful enough in life that you can buy an ACR as a toy, then just drive it, track it, enjoy it. $100K in value either way in 10 years should be negligible to anyone in that situation.

From what I see locally, the ACR-E's that were bought as toys to drive were bought pretty much for exclusive track use, because track car, and the rest were purchased primarily for extreme static viewing pleasure! I've enjoyed both, with one being costly, and the other like purchasing a Guaranteed Investment Certificate. Very different proposition for sure.

Thanks guys. Color combo plays a significant role as well. The final bidders wanted the competition blue. We know there are 100 examples GTS-R SE cars out there, but nowhere close to that number for comp blue as well as other combos. Kinda interesting how the “limited” versions really aren’t that limited compared to others color variants. Not knocking the GTS-Rs of course (I have one), but just sayin.

I think you got extremely lucky with the two bidders that really wanted the car and that’s all that it takes to get a great number. There is currently a no mile comp blue car sitting on the market that is in the same ballpark price wise. Always amazes me why some people will pay what they do at auction and don’t just do a simple search for the same car elsewhere. Typically a couple minutes searching will save them thousands. In any event, you did really well.

Why did you sell the Comp Blue and keep the GTSR?

If I had to guess, GTSR will likely appreciate/hold higher value over the long term. If you had to declutter the garage, seems it would be a wise choice which one stays and which one goes.

This even lower mileage ACR-E of equally nice colors only got 205K at Mecums: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FA0721-48...dge-viper-acr/
Either BAT is just a far better spot to sell on or you got lucky two guys wanted it. Hard to understand sometimes.

For me it was aesthetics. I like the classic white with blue / stripe color scheme just a *little* better. Went back and forth for a few months cause loved them both.

Did the seller of that car really only walk away with $167K after fees? That's insane. Would have been better off selling it online.
