    Blue White RT10 on Bring A Trailer

    15K miles- https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-dodge-viper-22/
    Cool car. I never cared for stripes on the roadsters though...

    How cool would it be to have this and a B/W GTS together? Or even a White/Blue96 RT/10. Rare color combo and for sure gonna go for a nice premium

    I think this will bring good money. $70k?

    At first glance, it strikes me as funny/odd that this car is already up to the same price as the '98 GTS that's ending in a day (and the GTS was at $25k yesterday). Ending price will obviously be the true teller, but the data points are still intriguing.

    15k miles versus 30k miles doesn't seem like that big of a deal. It is because there were so few RT/10's that year? Bumper has been resprayed. Hardtop had a crack fixed and was resprayed. Hardtop headliner is sagging. 20 year old tires.

    I'm personally not a fan of the blue shifter, ebrake, and steering wheel either.

    Sooooo many Vipers on BaT lately.

    I think it's just more that the 97 blue and white stripe RT is much rarer than the silver 98 GTS.

    The 97 blue RT only had 53 units built which looks to be the rarest of colors for an RT10. The Silver GTS is one of 288 units. Still not common but a lot more so than the Blue RT.

    Wasn't there something weird with the 1997 RT/10's getting a bump in power to 415hp? I thought I had heard that some of the 1997 RT/10's got the updated hood with the naca duct as well.

    Thanks for posting, I've got one of the 53 with a lot more miles, interested to see what it goes for!

    1996 RT/10s were upped to 415 hp. 1997 were the same as coupes at 450.

    Initial 1997 roadsters had the smoothy hood. Later 1997 received the coupe hood.

    All ‘97 RT/10’s have the original smooth hood, change to NACA duct was in ‘98, and there was 1 ‘98 RT/10 built with a smooth hood

    I can't recall for certain, but there were literally less than a handful that had no NACA duct, but wheel arch louvers. I know Sue Endle used to do Viper Days with hers.

    Dean, I seem to recall there was only 1 '98.

    I just looked the Viper Registry, here's what it says;

    One '98 RT/10 (VIN 1B3ER65E*WV400408) was accidentally shipped with a "smooth hood and pre-'98 RT/10" facia. All other '98 RT/10's were manufactured with NACA duct and vented hood and GTS style front facia.
