what do you do with such a unique car? Can’t drive it. Can’t sell it. Can’t track it.
Just part out the cheaper parts without a vin? What a waste.

Sadly, it'll end up in a shipping container heading East.

This is probably true, but still would be recognizable without drastic appearance changes.

Once it gets to the Middle East, it won't matter what it looks like.

i mean i get what you are saying, like they won't care it's stolen. But it will be easily recognizable. If someone wanted to spend a lot of resources or use it as a base case to track all parties involved and break up a criminal ring or something it could be possible. But unlikely for sure.

Didn’t see any specifics on how this happened, like were the keys left in it? Stolen from where? Street, garage…..other?

Can’t the Uconnect system locate it? Disable it?

Once insurance pays out, it'll be a thing of the past and will resurface in 9-12 months overseas with a new paint job or wrap and no one would ever know the difference.

Yeah. They can track it and will work with LE to find it.

But if (according to the owner on FB) the car was driven away; this is either an inside job or pros and the car is probably already in a container somewhere.

I’m not sure if they can disable it but they can definitely track it. If the owner has a police report and calls them they will reach out to the agency and provide the info. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, this thing is probably in a container and headed for a different continent.

FB post from the owner said it was driven away so it was either Pro (which probably confirms it’s going international) or driven into a lake after narrowly missing a bird.

If it lands in the Middle East/Gulf countries it will most likely be in Dubai port. If there is any sights of it, having friends who work there, we will get the word to the officials. It's such a unique car I'm not sure it can leave the US soil easy, specially in one piece!

I hope he gets it back!

That’s awful! Would think Dosge could track through the UConnect though. Hopefully it was properly insured.
