    WTB 2016 17 ACR WHEELS/SPOILER/SPLITTER - ACR-E Conversion Happening ;)

Hey guys I need to buy some 2016/17 ACR Parts for a build I'm doing on a 2013 SRT. Thanks for any help anyone can give. I just bought the car and am new here.

I couldn't find a full set of wheels anywhere except just the 2 fronts. I need all 4.

Any other parts of advice let me know.

My goals is to have a trophy car but track it a couple times - nothing major.

    THANK YOU

    Steve

What tires are you going to run? Keep in mind these wheels are extremely heavy. The heaviest wheels I've ever lifted outside of truck/SUV stuff..... 30hp back to back on the dyno vs Forgelines...
Plus wrecks the handling with that much added unsprung/rotating weight. But sounds like for what you are doing you don't care about that.

Arizona, - THANK YOU> and no i don't know what i am doing. hehe.

Great advice. I will consider for sure. My goal was to clone the ACR but maybe i'll look at Forgeline now.

Why are the ACR wheels so heavy? Just stronger or are they not forged or what?

It's odd that one set of forged wheels to another would be that dramatically different.
2013 GTS- Black w/ Gunmetal stripes. DSC Tractive Coilovers, big wing, ACR sways, carbon stuff

I mean in comparison to Forge lines that can are equally capable. I get forgeline might be slightly better, but robbing 30 is a lot.

Just overkill oem to make sure they don't break hitting a pothole at 177mph I guess. I dropped 88 lbs with Forgeline's/Hoosiers over the factory wheels and Kumho's. We scaled the car before and after. Slicks lost another 3-4 lbs a corner....

That's a LOT of overkill, lol. How much was attributed to the wheels?

A lot, not sure exactly though. The Kumho's are really heavy too. My Forgeline's weigh 20 lbs for 18X13 and 19.5 lbs for 18X12
The Sidewinders are extremely light wheels, they weigh the same as the Forgeline's, the lightest OEM Viper wheel every made

Well, they're 1" shorter in the rear that OEM too, right (ACR is 18/19?).

That's a pretty impressive weight from forgeline regardless. It's really surprising to me because they put so much effort into making light wheels for the non-ACR cars, why would they not optimize (at least to some reasonable degree) the the ACR wheels of all things. 30hp of acceleration around a track is a big deal, let alone the braking and handling improvements.

Yeah it's massive.... That's why I'm such a believer on CCB's too. Same thing it saved 70 lbs unsprung, rotating mass.

CCB are awesome. The weight isn't as outboard as a rim or tire, but a big deal for sure.
But they're not as street friendly or checkbook forgiving as wheels!

Plus, wheels are also an appearance mod!

    Kumhos are heavy fuckers.
I have a set of OEM 19" ACR wheels and a second matching set of wheels. One set with OEM kumhos, another with Hoosier R7s. It's a big difference in weight. Particularly the rears. Beefy

Nice! Be interested to see what the actual weight difference is between the 2 mounted sets.
