Gunmetal 2017 ACR on Bring A Trailer

No stripes, gorgeous car. 6k miles- https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cr-extreme-16/
Instead of guessing hammer price, let's guess if it meets the reserve or not. LOL.

So that should make the seller have a realistic reserve, but I bet he doesn't lol.

I wouldn't. New engine? Unless it's a wrapper new car who cares? It's already been driven 6k miles and a new engine doesn't bother me in the least.

This is a collector car, not a driver. All these ACR's on BAT going for $280K+ are sitting in garages. If I was buying this to collect and for value, then yeah of course you don't want a branded title. But if I was buying let's say a 2013-2015 to beat on, the new motor would be great. Imagine try to explain to the next collector in 5 years that he's buying a $300K collector car that doesn't have the original engine lol

I have to agree with Arizona Vipers.

I do feel little sorry for all the collectors out there. Only because as enjoyable as it must be to look at one of these cars sitting in your collection. That doesn't even come close to the enjoyment one feels when out driving them.

Some higher mile cars starting to come out, and it seems prices have "flattened" a little in the last month. A few cars like the ones that were trending toward $250K+ a couple of months ago are becoming available around $200-238K. The higher mileage ACRs are around $200K. Recent BAT sales below for grins:

    Low mileage: '16 ACR, silver w/ blue stripes and 300 miles - $200K: '16 ACR white w/blk/red stripes and 438 miles - bid to $233K; '17 GTC GTSR w/182 miles - $295K: "16 ACR blue pearl w/red stripe and 507 miles - $238K.

    High mileage: '16 GTC ACR gunmetal w/red stripes and 8700 miles - $205K: '16 ACR comp blue w/no stripes and 14000 miles - $195K: '16 ACR silver w/blk/red stripes and 8000 miles - $200K.
    2000 Viper GTS (sold), 2016 Viper ACR-E
    Drivers: 2011 Z06/Z07, 62 Corvette, 2015 Camaro 1LE SS
Track Cars: NASA Spec Ford Focus, 56 Corvette tube chassis

Only reason it bothers me is because it bothers other people when I go to sell it. I'd honestly view factory engine replacement as a bonus, but that's not the way the market sees it.

Anyway, black and gunmetal look so sinister, and they're the perfect colors for carbon accents. I love it. But I may be bias though, haha

How many people buying Gen 5 ACR's right now are to track them or daily them? They are bandwagon guys. Otherwise they would have bought them for $130K a few years ago and drove them.
I don't see any buyer of this car right now that wouldn't be worried about future value.....

It's like anything. People buying the 5k+ mile ones may be doing so for investment but hopefully they are not foolish enough to think they all will appreciate at the same rate and provide the same returns as the super low mile ones. I'd wager those buying the higher mile ones plan to still drive the car and get a return. The low mile ones I doubt will be driven at all.

All are investments but with large degrees of separation.

I have a funny feeling that people who can afford to buy them are not very "foolish" in any way about money or investments.

I dont have an ACR-E, but I make tons of foolish moves with my money. I spend about half on cars, women, booze and entertainment, but I waste the rest.
