I can't help but think this plus a wide body kit on your black car would make Batman proud.

    Very cool!

Doubtful you'll hit anywhere near 700rwhp with only 5 PSI. My guess would be 580-620rwhp.

Or it goes pop.780rhwp @ 5lbs of boost? My 5lb QC Ram is at 550rwhp with a Sean Roe/Torrie tune. I would expect less drive train loss with a manual trans, but not much. The heads and cam will help for sure but another 100-150rwhp?

the ram we built had a forged bottom end, ported heads so forth, we made 14lbs of boost 780/800 to the ground.
the viper should add at least 100 hp I am hoping if not more, we will change a few things, so I hope to see at very
    least 650 on 6lbs.
either way it should be a hoot.

If you need another genIII I am trying to give away one and can seem to find anyone to take it. Interested? You just need to figure out how to get it.

Everything is moving along with the build. Right now it looks like the hood is getting sliced later in the week and dyno possibly next week. I'll post photos as I get them, I haven't seen any of the build in person yet....it's killing me.

Sorry folks, couldn't get the photos rotated properly! Anyways, Tony is making huge progress with the build and it's off to get the hood sliced now. More to come.

Why is the blower used in that application a top feed 4 bbl. carburetor type? Why not use a rear feed or flip the blower and use a jack shaft set up? Seems like a really fun project, but can't see the logic behind cutting a hood and going Herman Munster if you don't have too.

Well camfAb i would call sean roe at roe racing and ask him since he designed the blower sir we are just utilizing his kit for a cool project if you need his number i can privide it

Comes down to $$. Fabricating a hood is a lot cheaper than redesigning and faster than a blower set up.

The rough layout for the hood cutout. Should have more pictures later this week with the cut completed.

    image.jpg

The corners will be rounded for stress relief and an aluminum frame added on the inside of the hood to keep it from snapping in half when opened/closed. It was awesome to finally see (in person) what Tony has been up to, the pictures don't do it any justice, it looks amazing.

Elected to have a few body panels repainted at the same time as the hood, hopefully have some pictures late this week or early next week with the hood on.
