      I like this! One suggestion. should be submissions be taken via the alley OR shoudl we have all the regional presidents send an email out to their membership and have the members send the photos to the presidents and then the presidents get the photos to us. I knwo that would be WAY more time consuming but just throwing it out there.

      i think we should invite the future VOA members first. some of the alley people will be VOA members and will be able to participate. not all VOA members are on the alley

      I was going to say the same. If you are going alley, then Teds Garage may be left out. Should we just have some generic ones for the time being and have a thread here already active with the rules so when we go live, within a week we will have what you need? Would be cool to have that here vs other sites.

      If you need some temp Viper images, I have about 15,000 on my hard drive I have taken over the last 5 years or so. Ranging from events, races, CAAP tours, etc.

      I vote for either getting the VOA members involved via regional presidents OR Roberts suggestion of an active thread for this when the site goes live and then putting the members pics up a month or two down the road.

      It appears that the forum will go live for the presidents prior to the general public and new members. As WD mentions, I think it would build a sense of ownership if perhaps we reached out to the presidents for pics initially and randomly chose whatever number of them that we could reasonable maintain in the rotation. Depending on the work involved, we may want to work on a system whereby the first of every month, we can engage a new set based on some intriguing system (contest, award, ….).

      A suggested award

      the winner’s image as part of the banner at the top for two months.

      This means 6 times a year it changes. Gives time for new material.

      Ok, this could be fun… the front page of the site is going to have some rotating images. So….. why not hold a contest over at the alley to have people submit their best picture (Viper related obviously) for inclusion on the front page for the launch?

      Rules are pretty simple:
      1. Image must by in .jpg format
      2. Image must be 888px by 250px
      3. Image must be owned by the submitter
      4. Submitter grants rights to the VOA for use on the web site

      So, who wants to head this up?
