Rumors out of Germany reported by a foreign mag say VW wants to acquire FIAT. The deal is that VW wants Alfa Romeo. VW also wants the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer network in the US in order to expand selling VWs. That would make VW the largest car company in the world and give VW the expanded dealer network needed to increase VW sales in the US.

Fiat wants to sell everything except Ferrari. VW doesn’t want Ferrari.

Neither one wants Chrysler or Dodge. Jeep maybe? Viper?
