Passenger side rear. More than likely dead short on O2 sensor right were it bends against the sensor housing. Or you melted wires depends on how you routed the sensor extensions. Check your ASR fuses in the fuse box see if they are blown.

Looking at your mods, what are you using for a tune? the stock Paxton set-up? Usually SCT tunes disable the rear O2 sensors, but you still have to have the electrical connector plugged in. That being said, look at the sensor wire (probably meted) but also make sure its plugged in. You should be able to swap in a new O2 sensor pretty easy once the car is up in the air.

The tune I have is custom from Dan Cragin when he did the upgrades to the Paxton. I just replaced the downstream passenger side O2 sensor so Ill see if the fault comes back. No melted wires that I could see or bends against the sensor housing. I had that problem on the driver side a few years ago.

      Thanks….Rich

Yeah I have thought that too, but had to really really look to spot it. Hope you can find the problem it’s a pain sometimes to have to trace this down.

If Dan has them turned off you can always unplug and put a plug in the pipe.

I just started to throw a P0161 error code (o2 heater Bank 2 Sensor 2) this week. Is this the rear o2 sensor on the driver side? Wanted to confirm. Thanks… Rich
