Not sure if MGW is entirely out of the Viper business or not…I know they don’t make any of the other Viper accessories anymore, but I’m not sure if that extends to the shifters as well or not.
That said, Ipsco makes a short throw shifter that I’m seriously considering for my ’08, but I can find very little feedback on it. I like that you can still use the factory shifter handle isolator if you so desire, and NVH is a big deal to me. I’ve had some really noisy short throw shifters in other cars that drove me batty…everything’s a compromise.

I keep the MGW shifters on the shelf and yes MGW will still make them just none of the dress up parts any longer.

Got my MGW shifter from Mark and it works great – easy to install if you drop the transmission down just a bit. I highly recommend it over stock.

IPSCO is the newest kid on the block for viper short throw shifters. I know Mark (Johnson at IPSCO) has his shifter in a lot of vipers. He has one in his GEN III. Call him (303 252-4481) and ask about the feedback he’s gotten. He will not lie or bullshit you about his products. He’s a very straight shooter.
I have it in my GEN II and love it. I have no experience with the MGW shifter, but I’ve heard good things about it. I doubt you’d have any issues with either product.

I have a brand new MGW Shifter and either Blue/Chrome/Fangs logo or Red/Satin/Fangs logo ‘Gripper’ knobs available.
PM me if interested.

Hey guys, thinking about picking up a short shifter soon.
Are the MGW ones still made? Is that the best one available?
Anything else I should change for better shifting? I already did ATF fluid and gonna put in a new OE motor and tranny mounts (don’t want poly).
Thanks!
