Sending unit or the gauge itself.

Hang on there chief…as silly as it sounds, try flipping the nozzle upside down. I’ve also had issues with the nozzle at the gas station stopping before the tank is full, and flipping the handle upside down and filling the rest that way has always worked.

All,
I have an 08 coupe that has run into an issue over the last three fuel fill ups. As first, I thought it may have been an issue with the station pump, but I’m beginning to believe it’s an issue with my car.
Whenever I fill up my tank, the fuel pin does not go all the way up past the full tank marker. Now, the pin only goes up to about 90% of what would be considered a full tank. I know it isn’t an issue with the gas station pump because when the fuel pump stops automatically during fill up, the pump has stopped in the exact same spot the previous three fill ups once this issue came about. The amount of fuel you would expect during the fill up is also lower than expected. I’ve driven the car and pumped enough gas to a point where I expect a certain amount of fuel based on the position of the pin, but fill ups are not meeting this expectation.
What would be the issue here? Is it the meter on my dashboard, or is there a larger issue at hand. Is this a common issue with the gen 4 line?
