I was in a Gen II that had the original 1996 GTS cam in it (708???) and it didn’t feel lumpy at idle, though I believe they changed it after 96 to make a smoother idle.
I agree though that Todd at A&C parts knows what’s up when it comes to Viper cams and Dan Cragin would also be of some help. He has done some legendary builds and will definitely know the feel of them all.

Yup the comp coupe cam is just the 708 cam.

Yeah the comp coupe cam I don’t think is the best or latest in technology. Todd can grind you a wayyy better cam and so can Justin at JMB, I was really surprised how much Justin knows and he has several pre spec’d and ready to go s that he has put in customers cars with great reviews. He is well known on the VTCOA.

I’m on a budget and can’t afford a custom grind cam. I was just going to replace the rings and bearing but ended up have do spend way more on lost of other stuff. I’m trying to keep my cost down and it keeps going up. I found a comp coupe cam for $300 then the guy backed out of the deal. So I’m still looking.
