The Dragon on Eibach’s/Caps is fine, it’s the other driving (rough interchanges, bridge expansions, ect..) that was not pleasant as its harsh and no rebound makes it feel unplanted in the rear. Never had my bump stops cut so hopefully that works.
Was great seeing so many Vipers at the TOD again this year!

Eibach tells you to cut the bump stops in their instructions. If you leave them the stock length you limit the shock travel and will have a harsh pounding ride as you will spend most of your time riding on or near the stops. If the shocks do not travel you can’t have rebound. The 400 miles to and form The Dragon were the most pleasant driving miles i’ve put on the car.

What!!! With all those extra miles it’s time to lower your selling price. OP, post of pic of your car close enough for us to see the difference. -
I lowered my car about a week before the tail of the dragon. I’ve put about 600 miles on the car since then and I am thrilled with the results.
I used the eibach springs and the lowering caps from Jon B. It took me about six hours to do the swap out, this included a trip to a friends shop to use his coilover spring compressor and lathe to cut 3/8″ of the bump stops on all four shocks. in all the diy’s I’ve seen on this forum I’ve never seen anyone mention cutting the bump stops. I can see that if you don’t you will be in for one rough ride. This setup initially lowered the car 1 3/8″, after a few miles it has settled in at a 1 1/2″ drop.
I feel that the ride is superior to the stock setup and it has taken the “harshness” out of the ride character of the car. Driving the Tail of The Dragon was like the car was on rails. I never had so much fun driving a car. With the car dropped it looks so much more aggressive and pleasing to the eye without the wheel gaps.
