The K&N drop ins are safer when it comes to staying dry.

My recommendation is to just do smooth tubes and K&N drop in filters.

Looks like there’s some Rubber ones – red / black / blue / yellow – for about $70.00
The Chrome ones are $170.00 or so
I’m still trying to find a Package deal with the smooth tubes ( chrome or not ) and the 2-K&N filters all in one price…..

On the older cars a good set of smooth tubes and K&N filters did as much or more as spending the big bucks. I would sure go the less expensive route as so many have suggested.

Hi Everybody,
Do you know what’s best for changing out the Factory Air filter box – for an after market Cold air Intake ?? GEN 2
I’ve been looking @ the K & N stuff – maybe around $550.00 or so.
Or is there really no big difference and I should just drop in the K & N filters into the factory box ?
Thanx!
Kenny.
