I’ll have to check and see if this is a trip on first or second incident type of MIL – there are some codes that will be set as soon as something happens, others that take something happening a couple of times before the light comes on. It could just be a totally random occurrence, but could also be related to running low on gas.

How many miles? Plugs ever been changed?

Has 11,500 miles on it. I don’t believe they have been changed out.

Clear it and move on. Not odd to see those codes thrown. Depends on tune/PCM and mods as well. “False” misfire codes is one of the things that the new Arrow tune addresses.

Correct…these engines have very sensitive emissions controls, misfire detection being one of them.

That said, I’d still think about changing the plugs…not absolutely necessary, but just to make sure nothing else is going on.

      Found a little more info:

P0316 – Misfire detected on startup (first 1000 revolutions)
Emissions related, MIL on 2nd trip (so it takes two times of doing this for the code to set)

As already recommended, just reset it and move on.

Couple days ago my engine light came on and it was a P0316- Engine misfire first 1000 RPM.
I cleared the code and it has not come back. Started it at least three times and drove it to work today no lights.

Before this happened I ran super low on fuel managed to creep over to a gas station and filled her up, drove home and parked. After about 20 minutes I manouvered to put it in the garage and the light came on. not sure if it related but are the activities prior to it comming on.

      Anyone experience this before?
