Based off Dan’s description, it looks like the unit has its own flywheel, so you can just bolt it to your existing one and go. At least that’s what I got from it.

Ah… missed part of that but see it now… yup, it’s got it’s own friction surface built into it and you just bolt it directly to the existing FW without worries… sweetness! One less piece of the puzzle to worry about.

Exactly…sounds like a very nice feature. Let us know how it turns out.

Hey everyone, I’m gonna replace the clutch on my Gen4 with a Mcleod dual disk and was wondering what the consensus is on the stock flywheel. Is that thing pretty solid for the long haul? Place I’m looking at to install the clutch mentioned taking a look and possibly resurfacing the stock FW if needed, but I’ve never actually had this done so not sure if it’s frowned upon or what. Am I really just better off throwing in a new FW (aftermarket billet steel) since I’m already going through the labor of replacing the clutch?

      Thanks!
