After speaking with several powder coaters, including TRG I’m on the fence with powder coating vs. traditional hand painting the intake & valve covers. TRG can’t pc the vc’s & advises against pc’ing the valve covers. I see JMB exchanges cores for already painted vc’s however nowhere near the color I need, but will call them.
Has anyone powder coated their intake & vc’s? My question is how well do they hold up to the heat and cleaning? The valve covers are made of magnesium and it’s porous, a delicate process and may not hold up.
