On the positive side, I note that bit at the very end..

“If you are a current VCA Member, you will continue to receive these Newsletters. If you choose not to renew, we respect your decision and this will be the last one that you will receive.”

on the negative side, Bobby C….? He’s a great guy and I’m more confused by this than anything that has happened since the VCA/VOA split. It’s been a while since I talked with him, so maybe I’m missing something… If any of you have some insight into why this now, please PM me.

      Attention VOA Regional Presidents,

Below is an email blast that was sent to your members. Please take note that some of the new VCA regional
directors are current VOA members and may be in your club. This, more than likely, is not a coincidence. The
$100,000+ lawsuit against them is coming to trial in May. Plus there is another lawsuit against them in Florida.
I just want to keep our VOA Officers and Directors aware of what is being sent to their members.

      Regards,

      Randall

      MARCH 2016 NEWSLETTER

      NEWS FROM THE NATIONAL OFFICE

For the past few months, Viper Club of America has been busy assessing where we stand as a Club; and, figuring out what needs to be done to make it an even better place for Viper Owners and Enthusiasts to be a part of. We believe we know what we are dealing with now, and are ready to move on. We are confident that with your support, VCA can be fun and strong!

We have evaluated the operational costs for the National Administrative Office and are cutting back where we can. Whereas our board of directors and regional and area directors are all volunteers, part of your membership money is used to pay for our administrative officer, professional fees like annual tax reporting, website maintenance and server, magazine design and printing, phone and fax, etc. These are all necessary to keep VCA functioning, but we are doing what we can to keep them to a minimum.

We have started making some much needed improvements to our Websites. We are researching what can be done to update our software and make everything more user friendly for you, but this will take some time and money. Please remember that our websites were designed many years ago. Not only has technology changed, but our sites hold hundreds of thousands of threads of hisstory, and we have to be careful not to destroy any of them in the process. We are also working to make our Forums more for “Members Only”, so as a paying member, you will have access to more valuable information than non-members do.

The inventory of Magazine Back Issues, Posters and boxes of Club Memorabilia were sent to a storage facility near our Dallas office, when VPA closed. We finally had some volunteers come out to help us start sorting through it all; to see what was actually sent. We hope to have this complete and our web stores offering you some great products by the end of March. Who knows what we might find…. stay tuned.

And, December 31, 2015 marked the end of the two year tenure for the Board of Directors who were voted into office in 2014. We were waiting to hear from everyone, to see who was staying on and who was resigning. With that said, we now have a couple of positions to fill. If you would like to volunteer some of your time, and provide ideas as to how you would like to see VCA progress, please let CJ or Bill know. We welcome you to be a part of our Viper Family!

      VCA LOCAL REGIONS AND AREAS

We’re off to a great start!

NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK: Bobby Cerchione , President of VCA’s New Jersey Region!
We want to extend a heartfelt and enthusiastic Welcome Back to Bobby Cerchione for taking the reins again in New Jersey – for some Viper Fun! Many of you know Bobby by his million dollar smile, outgoing personality, laid back attitude; and, of course, he is a Viper Fanatic! Bobby is loved by SO many – thank you for taking a moment to email bobby.cerchione@apexxpress.com and let him how glad you are to have him back with Viper Club of America!
Here is a short biography, written by Bobby:

Good Morning Team VCA! I am ready to roll!

I am President of Apex Xpress, Inc., and a partner at Xpedited Services LLC and Pexa Logistics LLC; but, my most important job is being dedicated Dad to Bobby and Joey.

I have been a VCA member since 2001 and have a deep passion for this car and Viper Club of America – mostly for the people I’ve met because of this great club! I am the former NJ VCA President, as well as the former National VCA Secretary for two terms. I’ve decided to jump back into a leadership role with VCA because it’s been a very big part of my life.

Viper Club of America is a club of distinction, credibility and great fun! It has become the underdog because of perception, not reality! I’m here to work with the National Officers and Regional Presidents and Directors, to help clear up that perception and gain your trust. VCA is about the members, not the agendas of the Officers. We all volunteer for you and for our love of the car and club!

“You came for the car and stayed for the people” has always been our motto! Let’s not forget what it’s really about! So, see you at a NJ VCA and/or National event real soon!

      Bobby Cerchione

LOUISIANA/ARKANSAS/ALABAMA/OKLAHOMA/So. TEXAS: Lisa Rachall, new Gulf States Director from LA!
If you live in one of these states, chances are you have already been contacted by Lisa, or will be soon. Lisa, or better known on the Forums as Broomrider, has been a great asset to VCA already. She joined in 2015, and without hesitation, volunteered her time to get Members in her area more involved. It is her goal to meet as many of you face-to-face as she can. And, she has some great experience coordinating runs and pick ups, so look for one, or two, or even three to happen near you.

TENNESSEE/No. CAROLINA: Thomas Curtner, Volunteer from TN!
Thomas originally joined VCA in 2009 and has Volunteered to plan a Tail of the Dragon Event for VCA this year. If you are interested in participating, please EMAIL me HERE. We need to get an idea of how many Vipers would like to take this ride, and when you think would be the best time – spring or fall. There is a thread on the Forums Page as well, where you can look for more details. We are so thrilled to have Thomas on board with VCA – thank you, Thomas!

FLORIDA/GEORGIA/So. CAROLINA/No. CAROLINA/TENNESSEE: Mid South Director, Cathy Smiley!
Cathy and her husband, Jim, have been members of VCA since 2006. They have been a very active Club and have hosted some great events. Look out Midsouth – I’ve seen Cathy’s list of Events for 2016, and it’s a good one!

OHIO/MICHIGAN/INDIANA/KENTUCKY/ILLINOIS/WISCONSIN: Great Lakes Director, Janey White!
Janey will be busy this year! She takes her group on two plant tours a year, but this year we’re going to open it up to all VCA Members. And, she’s organizing the VOI14, along with a few other surprises.

      ATLANTIC NORTHEAST REGION: John Mavridis!
You can always count on John! Not only does he support and represent our Members in the Northeast, he also volunteers to Moderate the Forums. John is a great VCA asset!

VIRGINIA/MARYLAND: Andy Apter and Judy Ugaz!
Always some great events on that East Coast! Can’t wait to see what’s happening this year!

      SOUTH FLORIDA AREA: Wayne Garner!
Wayne is a great guy and a true Viper Enthusiast. He was out at the 24 hours of Daytona and proved some great shots of the Viper Exchange/Riley Motorsports Vipers for us, throughout the race. Can’t wait to see what he’s up to next!

      LAS VEGAS AREA: Al Ogurek!
Al has already had his club out to Chuckwalla this year, and racing those Vipers. I bet he’s got a lot more in store, too.

      KANSAS CITY AREA: Michael Puckett!
Michael and his family have been long-time Viper Lovers and keep that KC area rockin’!

      VCA SWEDEN: Jan Falk!
Jan is well known in his area and from what I hear can put together a great party! Every year he is instrumental in organizing several events including an annual race at Ring Knutstorp.

So, if you live somewhere that isn’t currently represented and have some great ideas or a little time to volunteer, or would like to get together with your Viper Neighbors and Friends – or even meet some new ones, let us know. We can set you up with an Area or Region, whichever you feel most comfortable with. Send an email to CJ at support@viperclub.org, or Bill at wwhite82@aol.com. Regardless, we will do our best to make sure that all of our members are informed as to what is happening throughout the club.

      2016 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Our membership drive is in full swing! If you have already renewed for 2016 – thank you! If you haven’t renewed and have not received your reminder notice yet, you should soon. Or, if you’re not sure, just give CJ a call. She can let you know if you are current in a matter of seconds. Or, you can simply CLICK HERE to complete your renewal online, if you still need to do so. If you don’t have your Membership Number or VIN handy – no problem. Give CJ a call at 800-677-4321 and she will process your renewal over the phone. It won’t take but a minute to get you taken care of.

Our goal for 2016 is to reach 950 to 1000 paid memberships. The National Office and BOD are confident that with these numbers, we will be able to provide you with everything you would expect with being a VCA Member. But, it’s completely up to you to make it work.

This year we have a really great looking patch and badge (not that the others were too shabby); but, these are special! They commemorate our 20th Anniversary of being your Viper Owner Club. Everything is being made and should be received at HQ in a week or two. Once CJ gets them, she will personalize your badges and get your 2016 packets out to you. And, as I promised, if you renewed your membership by December 31, 2015, you will have a little something extra in your packet.

      MEMBERSHIP LOYALTY PROGRAM

We have been receiving a lot of Renewals this year from members whose number are in the two, three and four digit range – and WE ARE NOTICING! As a THANK YOU for your LOYAL support, we have come up with a VCA Membership Loyalty Program. We want to reward you with special Viper Club Memorabilia, based on the number of years you have been affiliated with the club. So, not only will you be receiving your Membership Packets soon, and a VIPER Magazine after that, but you will also be receiving a little something else from us in between – just to, again, say Thank You!

We already have the next issue of VIPER Magazine assembled and should be able to get it in the works after all of the membership packets have been sent out. If you have any ideas for an article or would like to advertise your business or hobby in an upcoming issue, please contact CJ at editor@vipermagazine.com. We have some really great advertising rates for VCA Members, so why not Advertise your Business and Support your Club at the same time? It’s a win-win for everyone!

VIPER TRIVIA is a thread on our Viper Club of America Forums. Viper Jeff is the Host with the Most! We have been testing it out in the public area, and think that we can make this really fun. So, we have decided to actually provide prizes and moved it to the Members Only area.
Jeff will present a question and you simply reply with an answer. The first member who answers correctly is the winner – it’s that simple. Three correct answers will award you a prize. We will have tier levels for your prizes, so you can continue to play and never have to receive the same prize twice, unless you want to, of course. Prizes will be announced on the thread. So…..how much do you know about Viper Hisstory? CLICK HERE and SIGN IN.

We really do have some great things happening this year. So don’t delay, make sure you renew today!
