I think we made a good decision thanks to folks input. Just too much turbulence for a company who should be in the business to provide services and make customers happy.

I’m guessing that RSI is hoping for a nuisance value settlement. Not much there other than your efforts that will be necessary to support the truth.

Our friends over at Racing Solutions is suing me, that’s right you read that correctly RSI is taking me to small claims court
Sit back and get ready for story time…Cliff notes at bottom for those with ADHD
This all started back in the summer of 2013, when I had issues with my AEM V1 ECU. I sent to unit to AEM for repairs but was told there was too much damage on the motherboard and that AEM would soon no longer offer support for the V1 unit. They offer to upgrade my V1 to the Infinity ECU.
At that time there were only two companies offering a PnP harness for the AEM Infinity, Nth Moto & RSI Racing Solutions. Of course I called Aaron and the guys over at NTH Moto first BUT at the time I couldn’t justify the price due to being between jobs and getting ready to move.
This is where RSI came into the picture, I had my hesitations knowing everything I knew about RSI but didn’t have much of a choice being that the Infinity was such a new platform for the Vipers and no one else was building PnP harness at the time.
After talking to Will he promised that he was working on building a better name for RSI and that I was going to be “taken care of”. With that being said I still didn’t trust him, so I made sure to save EVERY email, text message and recorded every phone conversation that ever took placed. Just in case my wiliness to give RSI a chance came back to bite me, given all the bad experiences.
And….Of course it did, after getting my PnP harness 3 weeks late “due to waiting on parts from AEM”. I immediately had issues with the harness not being properly labeled. After a few phone calls and picture texts back and forth we figured out the issue but that was just the beginning of all my problems.
After having my tuner come and try to tune the car he noticed that we weren’t getting signal to some of the sensors, when we went to cut back the heat shrink we found that the wires were never hooked up to the sensor. Keep in mind Will had told me that this harness was “bench tested and everything was good to go”. I’m sure a sensor not hooked up would be something they would have found if they actually had test the harness before shipping it off.
I showed the pictures to Will he quickly sent me a label for the harness to be overnight so that they can fix it. Harness arrived back to me 2 days later and it was time to put the harness back onto the car. This time I was feeling really confident that everything would work, I called my tuner one more time to come over. When he tried to tune the car is noticed that we were not getting a signal for CAM, CRANK and RPM.
Here we are over a month of dealing with this harness and countless hours of me tearing my car apart and putting it back together, just to tear it apart again. I was getting frustrated with trying to troubleshoot the harness over the phone and email. Will offer to “fix and tune my car” as long as I took the car to him, which is 5hrs to tow my car plus I had to buy new injectors, pay for the tune, ect, ect..
After doing the math it would be an additional cost of $2748 on top of the price of the harness in order for it to work. That’s not what I originally agreed on when I purchased the harness. After countless unsuccessful attempts for them to correct the situation. I was left with no other options than to call my credit card and file a dispute, once their investigation was completed my refund was issued. At which time I return the harness to RSI.
Fast forward 3 years later RSI is suing me for the full amount plus a 20.4% interest for a harness that never worked.
Cliff notes: Will the high functioning retard over at RSI is suing me for an AEM PnP harness he sold me that never worked. I had to file a credit card dispute to get my money back and returned the harness. Here we are 3 years later and wants to charge me 20.4% interest on top of the price of the harness.
