Great news! I’ve worked with Beth in the Houston club for some time. She’s a good one, we’re lucky to have her.

Hi everyone, just a reminder that I need those of you (regional presidents) who didn’t vote to please login and vote for the VP replacement I emailed a week ago. I see many haven’t logged in yet.
Please login and vote (Yes or abstain options). As part of the board I want to make sure you’re all notified well and reminded – but I need all to make the effort and participate (unless something truly precludes you).
Thank you to all those that I already see have voted. Thanks!

Notification has been sent to the board (national and regional presidents) that the vote has been setup and made active for filling the role of VP.
As per our last meeting we were collecting VP candidates to fill this role on a national level. Several people inquired (which I’m thankful they considering it) but eventually only one candidate stepped forward to vie for the role. We are at the tail end of our collection period and need to go to vote. We agreed to trigger the vote just before NVE so that we fill the role before the event. I had the inquiry open for 30 days and now we have a couple weeks to vote.
Beth Sewell is our candidate. I’d like to go through the typical election process simply to collect a majority vote to move forward. I have setup the vote in the portal (you’ve used it before). If I can ask the presidents to please enter the portal and cast your vote at this time. I’ll be keeping the portal open until May 9th, that’ll give everyone plenty of time to log in.
The new voting portal we’ve built really makes things like this easy and avoids getting everyone on the phone to do a roll call. You can see also see live results after you cast your vote. Only presidents and national officers can vote (and actually even if someone else used your link, it won’t let them vote because I can flag who is allowed to access the vote).
Thanks everyone for the help and understanding as we go through these steps. I think we’ve picked up the pieces swiftly and sense we’re in fact perhaps in a better place at the moment for the long term. I want to extend my thanks for Beth for having the courage and willfulness to take on a significant role. Along the way we’ll keep our eye out for successors for all national offices, as that’s a component we all need to cultivate along the way so we have a natural progression to fill those roles.
