No, never been supercharged. The new one isn’t either.

In 2010 the first run had a 5.4L V8, quickly replaced with the 6.2L V8 that it carried until 2014 when the 1st gen of Raptors ended.

The 2017 Raptor is a 3.5L Twin Turbo.

The nice thing about Raptors are, they hold their value EXTREMELY well. I’ve had 2 and can’t wait for the 2017 to come out.

I didn’t know that. Thank you. Also didn’t know that about the values.

The raptor isn’t designed for the kind of off roading I do. Power wagon would be more built for my needs. I really liked the new Minotaur that prefix is building (though again, not built for what I do.)

Even though I love my normally aspirated Viper I also love my ’87 Grand National.

With the 2017 Raptor going FI I am curious about them and may consider buying one if my new career switch necessitates the need for a pickup.

If any of you own a Raptor and know what the heck the Raptor forums talk about when they reference the “screw” vs. “scab” versions, could you please enlighten me?
