Came across a SRT 10 with a salvaged title and a little over 15,000 miles on it that I just couldn’t pass it up. Car Fax says it sat on a lot new until 2013 then went to Florida. After that to Texas where it became a flood victim. Then actioned off to a guy in Cal. that I bought it from. I have a 2013 GTS and have been thinking that at sometime down the road I would like to do twin turbos. But the 2013 is just to nice a car to cut up and works really well as it is for what I use it for and that is a lot of highway cruising. I had a GEN 2 with a Paxton and built motor before a got my 2013 and as fun as the GEN 2 was. After all the mods it wasn’t as nice of a highway cruiser. As any of you know that also suffers form the horse power addition as I do. It never go’s away. So even as spoiled as I have become in my GTS and not wanting to make the same mistake with it. The only smart thing to do was to get a second Viper to mod and feed my addition.
So what better pallet to start with than a 2010 as it already has 600 hp to start with and the latest transmission and big brakes along without any traction or stability control or all the electronic gadgets of the GEN 5. Well I wasn’t disappointed this thing is an animal as it is. Well at least compared to the 2013 anyway. I have a long way to go in bringing it back to it’s former glory before I even consider turbos. But that will be a big part of the fun, right.
A big part of choosing this particular car was the fact that it leant it self to my low key persona as far as looks. Here’s a couple of pic from the Craigslist add so you can see what I mean.lol1234.jpg12365.jpg
