      Ron – nice driving…

      two things:

      1. Were you using an external GPS for the lap timer? If so, what kind.
      2. How you lie the brake pads?

1)No I wasn’t. I have an OBDII dongle that I didn’t plug in though. Haven’t used it yet on the Viper, so I don’t know what it will display.
2)They’re pretty good, but not amazing. I’m not sure I 100% trust them for some reason. I might make a switch, because once again on the ride home, I got that howl and a slight vibration that was mentioned in another thread and in a thread I had started last fall.

I remember that and I had it too…Crap, is that back again? After I cleaned up / sanded and re-bed the pads it hasn’t returned.

This was my 1st track day this year in the car and my 4th in a Viper. Yes, I came over from the Corvette world (4 Z06’s-see sig).
      Carbotech Xp24/Xp10 pads and Hoosier A7 315/345-18″.

There was traffic but they were all “advanced” drivers and everyone was pretty good with point byes.
I played with a full race prepped 911 in the 1st video. I gave point byes to both Porsches (both gutted, full race prepped) in the beginning as that was the out lap. I go slow for a lap or so to warm the tires and the brakes usually. Porsches don’t seem to need to do that. I point the one back bye me the next lap as he was close and I prefer to follow vs. lead.

I had my 17 yr. old son in the car with me for most of the day. He LOVED it and can’t stop talking about how much fun he had!

I know there’s more left in her. I just need the bigger balls required to unleash it! Lol
