Those are some quick times, thanks for posting the video! I’m hoping to make it out there at some point with you guys. Seems as though I can’t my schedule to match up with George’s.

Thanks! Hopefully we can all make it there at the same time before the season is over.

Good stuff! George is the man! Been trying to link up earlier in the summer, but had some worrisome weather.

I’m hoping I can get one day out there before the season is over; I love Lightning.

Joe is working on a Viper track day there. See his thread in the New Jersey section.

Awesome video and that track looks fun.

I noticed that your oil temps held at 235 – 237. At what temps do you ease off? I only ask as I am hitting 235 on my GTS after 20 mins or so into a session and that is the point I ease off for a lap or so.

      thks

      Thanks.
Honestly, I don’t ease up until the last lap, which I do a cool down lap. Sessions are usually 20
      As well.

I went to a track day Friday with forum members PAVenomRT/10 (George) and JoeyBJunior (Joe). Thanks again to George for letting us sign up as his guests!

The video is of a few laps from the day following George. Unfortunately, the telemetry didn’t work on the video, but some peak mphs I hit were 152 on the front straight, 125 on the long curve coming to the bridge, and I was mostly 82-83+/- in the sweeping bowl turn (all new bests). My Hoosiers were done and I was sliding more than usual, so I had to keep my speeds down some in many turns. My best lap was a 1:12.41 (also a new best-beating my previous C6Z06 best by 2+ seconds), and on that lap I was forced to brake/coast the last 3 seconds of the lap as seen at 2:23 of the video. George’s reverse lights flashed and I didn’t want to run him over! LOL

The laptimer said my theoretical best was a 1:09.56 for the day, so room for improvement exists. We’ll see next time with a “fresh set” of Hoosier scrubs and a switch to a new Raybestos brake pads.
