Good pace to only be your third event.

I was pleased and pleasantly surprised by my lap times. When I started last year, I thought turning fast laps was going to be a piece of cake. I left humbled with a new found respect for experienced track guys and professional drivers. My goal was to shave 5 seconds off my personal best with new brakes and fluid this time around.

I trusted my crazy X girlfriend more than my stockers after about 10 minutes on track back in June.

I was able to beat my previous best by 10 seconds.

I have a ton to learn and made plenty of mistakes, as you can tell in the video (coming into the bus stop still shifting for example.

Something to build on for next year.

Great job and thanks for posting the video! You already have me covered and I’ve been doing this much longer. Good laps!

Were you running Corsas as well? We should try to overlay our lap data.

Thank you! That would be really cool if we could over lay both videos!

I’ll say this.. I can drive a car a hell of a lot better than a computer, so if you have any ideas on how to combine videos let me know.

I’d be happy to do what I can to help.

I’m on a set stock P Zeros I purchased new on set of Rattler wheels from a VOA member back in April. They have 6000 miles on them now, which included a previous 2 day event at Watkins.

I wish I would have kept my SW II’s. It would have been the ideal wheel to put “track only” tires on. Hind sight 20/20!!

Sign up for a free account on serious-racing.com, then just upload your lap data from whatever app you’re using and we can compare.

I’m not sure I can do more with the videos other than maybe get them side by side if I had the original mp4 file.

cool video. Wondering why you used that SRT performance page as opposed to the gauge 2 set up?

I have oil pressure, oil temp and water temp set up in the center dash, which is easier for me to monitor at speed. I was curious how closely the telemetry matched the cars speedometer, so I sacrificed air intake temp and the voltmeter for this event.

Had a lot of fun this past weekend running Watkins Glen with HOD. They are a class act organization and I would highly recommend them.

My Viper is stock, aside from Castrol SRF brake fluid, R47 Raybestos pads up front and R43’s in the rear, which performed exceptionally well compared to stock.

I did warp a 2 piece stock rotor.

This was only my third HPDE so I was only able to run with one other Viper of the 6 there in the B group. I look forward to getting more experience under my belt in hopes of running with the faster groups at future events.

Traffic was an issue at times. I had very few opportunities to run clean laps.
