Does anybody have a set of ACR gen 2 wheels they would like to part with?

They show up on Viper related Facebook pages periodically. A couple of sets in the last month or 3.

Great job finding those mirror parts, two of us in the UK were looking for those parts, I gave up in the end. My friend Steve had a side short exhaust system set up it was custom made.

Interested to know how far you intend to go with the conversion?

My car is a rendition of the Oreca 92 car from the American Le mans series in 2000, Steves is the Autoform Rolex Daytona 91 Car.

I also started the picture thread for GTSR’s here
      https://driveviper.com/forums/threads/299-The-Gen-II-GTS-R-Picture-thread?highlight=GTSR

That should help you decide on what car you intend to replicate.
Steve at Autoform would also be a good guy to talk to, he sells many of the products you will need for the task.

I have a spare Autoform safety roll bar for a GTS sitting in my Garage, make me an offer but I have no idea what the postage to the usa would be?
I modified my roll bar to allow for full seat adjustment

Here’s a link to my Albums,
      Lots of diffrent pics

Now seeing as I’ve done my car as 92, Steve has 91 we really need to see 93 out there…. 😀
Looking forward to more pictures and what direction you intend to take
      Cheers Mark

Im still on rear exit exhausts at the moment, it just sounds so Awesome I can’t bring myself to change it even though I have a pair of Autoform side exit sills and new Belanger side exit system sitting in the Garage.
I just seem to be hording more and more Viper stuff! Its an Addiction!

I’m going to try and take it as far as possible with my car as possible i’ve even tried hunting down a GTSR chassis. Lol i have an exact replica of the wing on the C13 chassis car #93 being built by steve( i will post pics as soon as steve sends me some) even the up rights / stanchions , i’m having custom done and i have studied them immensely in order to have something one off and as close as possible to the original. download-3-4.jpg

Prowler mirror conversion cost about 700.00 with paint motors and glass including harnesses i also rewired the mirrors so i could use the factor viper mirror switch in car. its just the same as the prowler set up just diff. wire colors for left right and up and down.

I thought long and hard about exactly that, how far are you going to take this Adam…………self balls out man you only live once! yea i thought about giving more money to autoform steve but…..i got other stuff to buy at this moment…..including locating or building a carbon fiber air box or a custom one that replicates the intake through the front splitter/ bumper because im getting rid of the NACA duct. Dodge-Viper-GTS-R-66380.jpg I’ve seen pics of those cars! i like them! do you guys have full cages in them?

Steve’s roll bar is the standard Autoform roll bar.

Thing is I love the race car look but I also tour in the car so still wanted it to be comfortable and practical inside. The standard Autoform Roll bar sits slightly forward in the car, this means that you can not get the seat fully back. Im 6ft 2in, so I needed the seat back to recline fully and slide back.
I fitted the Northwind adjustable seat lowering kit on the drivers side. However a problem with the Autoform roll bar is that the emergency door opening tabs hit the downtube of the roll bar. Some people take the easy route of just cutting the tabs a bit shorter, but I chose to alter the shape of the roll bar to make it hug the rear bulkhead better. (this also allowed full movement of the seats).

I also did not want to loose the top cubby hole storage in the rear bulkhead, So we put a slight twist in the roll bar to allow use. It was a lot of work with my friend neil who is an engineer and has his own workshop. We must have had the roll bar in and out of the car at least 8 times to get the fit right.

Door emergency tabs now miss the roll bar

My friend Peter does own a NARRA race viper but its too raw inside for me because its totally stripped out to save weight for track use and fully caged, it also has the lexan race windshield this means he ha no side windows or roof liner, he also lost use of the rear boot (trunk) as he has a large fuel cell fitted in there.

Im going to talk to my fabricator and see if i can use your custom bar and finish off the look by adapting the rear cage y’all perfected and fabricating the front part of the cage. like a NHRA pro street cage so it would pass inspection on the track yet look like the full size GTSR cage but fully functional. what kind of money are you needing for it?

Had this idea when i bought this GTS coupe and i wanted to build a street version of a GTSR. I have been marching down this road for a couple months now and i finished the prowler mirror upgrade and now i’m doing exhaust and suspension / wheels and tires. Does anybody have a set of ACR gen 2 wheels they would like to part with? Any other constructive ideas i’ve already started up loading photos!!:stickmen_burningsti
