      Lower ball joint?

First, check for anything rubbing. Next check static alignment. If it’s good, you have worn suspension components causing a dynamic alignment issue. I would start with tie rod ends, outer/inner.

Could this be caused by a worn wheel bearing? I have just recently replaced it on the LHS? I never noticed if the tire had a problem then.

I would think if the wheel bearing was that bad (to damage the tire that much) you would have noticed some excessive brake pad wear. My .02$

Tie rod ends are fairly easy to diag. Upper/lower ball joint can be a bit tricky.

Best way is to laterally move the wheel top and bottom. I used a pinch bar and a piece of thick nylon to protect the wheel. I checked mine once i seen the boots were bad..

Ok thanks, I will look into that.
Meanwhile I have another little problem 🙁

That’s not a problem, that’s an opportunity! Testing for worn components is easier that way. Get the thing in the air and grab the tires top/bottom to see if the joints pop or flex. Pop the tie rods from the knuckles and check for excessive looseness or free play at both ends. A worn-“in” ball joint will move smoothly, but not floppy loose.

Yeah, no wonder I was having cooling problems, some low life nicked my radiator! 😀

Anyone know what would cause this? RHS Front is Fine, its just the LHS tire?
