Question:
> I can not get the catalytic moniter to read ready foe emission test. The vehicle is stock with 65000 miles I have done several drive cycles for about 300 miles and has failed 7 times showing not ready. Please help

I would start by checking fuses. Also check the fuses that are in the back by the amp.

It could be your Viper has a 1996 GTS Computer. The first GTS’s were OBD2 but the catalyst monitor never runs. Have you taken it to a smog station and are they telling
you you need to drive it, or are you checking it yourself? I have found that the 1996 GTS’s will go through smog without that monitor passed. They do need to be run on the
dyno as well as a plug in test. Not sure if this applies to 1997.
