I’m running the T1R in 285/25-20 and 345/25-20. I feel they are quieter and have more grip than Nitto Invos. They aren’t on track wheels, so I can’t speak to high speeds, but for the street, they’re great.

The 325/30/20 Toyo R888R can be considered as well. Here it is on a 20×13 wheel:

Since you are the looking for a street tire I would suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is by far your best choice. Considered a great tire for the street, inclement weather ( read rain), quiet and a good ride. Personally I would avoid the Invos for sure , and the R888R is technically an autocross/road racing tire only ( Toyos exact words for tire usage). Many drivers like them, as they are sticky , but they are noisy, spooky in the rain, and better suited for drivers wanting to track their Viper. Not tracking , get a set of Michelins.

I have this impression of the Toyo Proxes T1R: excellent handling and braking on dry and slippery surfaces. Pretty hard rubber, but great handling! Keeps the road perfectly on dry and wet roads.

Got my wheels back from powdercoating and re-assembled, should have everything mounted and installed this weekend, found a mobile touch-less tire installer, hopefully all goes smoothly.

My supercharged Gen3 coupe had Nitto Invo (19/20) on it when I bought it … Still does. I see a lot of comments about ‘other than Nitto’ from various folks.

I’m not suggesting I’m going to change out tires, as mine will wear it with time before they do miles, but what drives the negative sentiment around Invo tires?

I wouldn’t defend something just because I own a set. I’m genuinely curious – And I know eventually I’ll need a set of tires. I trust my VOA friends for real info.

And to the OP … Looking good!

I picked up a set of 19/20 wheels and trying to decide what tires to run. If I want to go with 345/25r20, Other than the Nitto Invos, anyone have thoughts on Toyo Proxes T1R?

Installed! I’ll get pics of the full car soon.
