      Wow! I didn’t realize: $650.00? Wow.

It’s seems like every couple of months or so, some member has purchased a car here and shipped it there. Once there they have to register the car and find the last guy modded the exhaust, threw out the old, and now the old parts are needed to pass emissions. I think there are states that require OEM parts (Cali?). Not sure if others.
You could hold on to them for possible/eventual sale or make some “now” money.
Personally, I would just get rid of ‘em for $650.00. Sounds quick and guaranteed.

I’d keep em personally. Only going to get harder to replace and if you need to sell the car for some reason, that might be a deal breaker…

If you ever went to replace them, it would be 4xs that.

As you may know, prices of raw materials are crazy this year. Just got my 4 stock cats removed on my gen 3 and was offered 650$ from a guy who recycles those…

The cats are 100% working, so is there's a market for used cats/exhaust or I should accept the offer?

I assume everyone upgrades their Viper's exhaust but I might be wrong…

I think it’s way too cheap. Thieves get $50-100 each for stolen ones. You can check with your local Dodge dealer for the prices of new ones. That’s what someone would have to pay to meet emissions
If theirs had been removed. So I’d discount from that price as to what your used ones are worth.

In California its becoming very difficult to pass emissions unless your vehicle is completely stock or only has California Air Resource Board approval parts.

Smog stations are having us remove the exhaust covers so they can document the catalyst PN or CARB approval number. Starting last month
they are are checking to see if engine controllers have been tuned or “chipped” during the plug in test.

Its very discouraging for us in the aftermarket as most all the performance changes will still pass all the emissions monitors and tailpipe emissions.

The Bureau of Automotive repair is pulling smog station licenses and taking legal action against technicians who don’t do it by the book.
Many technicians that have done illegal emissions testing are arrested.

Pre 1974 cars, which are the worst polluters are completely exempt and can be modified to the point they are gross emitters, without any
regulations whatsoever. It just does not make sense.

My advice is to always keep any original parts that are changed, this will increase the value of your car.
