      Go for it! It’s the newest Gen 2 and best Gen 2 year in my opinion. 😎

      I’m sure that you already know the trade offs between an earlier and older Gen 2’s? Internals/Cam vs ABS, etc.

      Here’s a good thread regarding Gen 2 Differences. I’m not aware of any significant inherent issues specific to the 02 year.

      I’m on my 2nd 2002 GTS. Other then normal maintenance I’ve yet to have any kind of issue with both cars. It’s a great car that still looks great today!
