Here is the email that went to the president’s two days ago. I believe it answers all your questions (and then some)

Dear VOA Region Presidents (and Directors),

Happy New Year! To those of you who are new presidents, welcome aboard!

As region presidents, you are a member of the Board of Directors for the Viper Owners Association. Your national officers, Alex Ristanovic (VP), Janni Cone (Secretary), Brad Homen (Treasurer), and myself, are charged with managing the operation of the club, but you are part of the board that votes on policy that affect the club. Please join us for our first phone conference of 2015 on Wednesday, Feb 18, at 5 PM PDT. (That’s 8 PM for you on the East Coast). These calls typically last 2 hours, so find a comfortable chair… We’ll update you on the latest club topics and solicit your input. We’ll send you the dial-in information and passcode a couple of days before the meeting so it isn’t buried in your inbox.

2015 PRESIDENT’S MEETING

This year’s president’s meeting will be held on May 22-23, 2015, in New Orleans at the Hyatt hotel where we’ll be holding NVE2 a year later. We’ll take you on a tour of the venues so you’ll be familiar with the location when you lead your club to NVE2!

We arranged our meeting for the same time of year so we can see what the weather is like. We realize that’s Memorial weekend, and some of you have vacation plans, but it’s the only weekend in May where we could get rooms at the Hyatt. We suggest you fly in on Thursday, May 21st. The tours will be held on Friday, and the meeting on Saturday. You’re free to fly home Sunday, or spend an extra day or two enjoying the sights and food. Presidents may bring a guest. If you can’t come, we encourage you to send a substitute to represent your region, preferably one of your officers. Book your flights soon, prices are going up because it’s a holiday weekend.

We have appointed Brian Kennedy, President of the Carolinas region as our national Region Development Director. Brian has experience reviving a region, so we’ve asked him to be a coach to help some of the less active regions get up to speed this year. The Winter 2015 issue of VQ is almost ready to go to the printer. It’s a bit later than scheduled because we had to incorporate the 1-of-1 Viper program at the last minute. We hope to be shipping the magazine the last week of February. All 2014 members and 2015 members who signed up starting Oct 1st will receive this issue.

I just thought I’d send a reminder that you may need to file a Statement of Information with the Secretary of State. It’s required every two years on the anniversary of incorporation. (I think this is a new rule as of 2013, as I never had to do this before. More revenue for the state. Costs $20 and you can do it on line by going to sos.ca.gov. Search for filing statement of information.

You’ll need the names/addresses of your officers (CEO, Secretary, and CFO) and your credit card. If you don’t file, you will get a $50 penalty fee from the Secretary of State, like we just did…. (More revenue for the state…) Love that. Let’s make up a new fee, but we won’t tell them, so we can charge a penalty when they don’t pay it…
