The stock clutch will eventually fail if you track the car a lot. There are a couple threads here showing what fails and what damage could result from it. It can handle the power but not the abuse. It’s really a shame because it’s a wonderful clutch.

      hey guys,

i’m curious about the limitations of the stock clutch in the 2010 acr, i am tempted to upgrade the exhaust and get 700 hp but i am worried about the clutch being a bit over powered. do i need to upgrade the clutch as well or is it safe? i had a 13″ gt500 and upgraded from 660 hp to 800 hp and killed the clutch in 10k miles! don’t want to repeat that mistake, especially as i will be tracking the car a lot and pushing it.

if i do need to upgrade then any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated in advance

      cheers
      nick
