Congrats man! Similar story for me also! I was a smidgen younger tho lol. I remember seeing a red RT10 drive through my neighborhood when I was like 6 or 7. I loved it. I thought it was the best car on the planet. I always wondered what it was doing driving through my little middle class subdivision we lived in. Found out much later it was someones uncle who owned a dodge dealer. move forward a few years I fell in love all over again when the blue with white stripe gts coupe came out. I told my 9 year old self that I would own one some day. Made that happen about a month ago.

Congratulations, you are going to love it! Understand the desire for the roadster. It’s what attracted me to mine as well.

Congratulations !!! I love the real early cars…

Congrats on the purchase! I’ve been very hungry for a GEN 1 car lately, so jealous I am.

Like many of you, I fell in love with the Dodge Viper as a teenager. I will never forget accompanying my three uncles to a Dodge showroom in central PA around 1994 and getting to sit behind the wheel of a brand new red RT/10. Fast forward 20 years and it suddenly made financial since for me to buy a Viper. While I get the appeal of the later models including the GTS, for me it had to be an original RT/10 roadster, in red over light gray.
I am now the proud owner of an unmodified 1993 RT/10 with <20,000 miles in very good condition including factory hardtop. I'd post a picture, but it'd be exactly what you're already envisioning.
The car and I are currently located in Charlottesville, Virginia. If there are any Gen I or II owners are here or RVA, hit me up!
