      Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Can anyone explain to me the “proper” way to open the hood on these cars?

From what I’ve gathered you want to pull up from the center of the hood near the windshield. This puts even pressure on the driver and passenger side hinges. Other wise lifting from one side or the other creates that horrendous hood gap basically torquing the hinges.

      That sound about right?

I’m in Columbia/Baltimore. But between Annapolis all the time. Good to hear there are a few of us in the area πŸ™‚
We were at Annapolis Cars and Coffee on Sunday, I was the only viper πŸ™ lots of C7s and porsches

I will definitely be attending the cars and coffee in Annapolis once I get my cars. Have you been to the one in Hunt Valley?

It’s kind of nice not being flooded with Vipers. Our cars are rare and that’s part of the reason I got mine.

Been to hunt valley, it’s too far and Annapolis is closer and it starts a little later around 9am. I heard the one in Dulles is good too.
100% agree with you on being unique!

Like many people on here I’ve wanted a Viper for as long as I can remember. A few days ago I was finally able to get my child hood dream car. A 1997 Dodge Viper GTS in red with 19k miles on it; single owner.

I do not currently have the car as its in the process of being shipped from BJ Motors in Tomball Texas aka Viper Exchange to me in Maryland.

Here is a picture of it.

Seriously cannot wait to take delivery of this fine machine.

      Previous cars I’ve owned.
      2006 Evo IX MR
      2003 Evo VIII 520awhp
      2005 Evo VIII
      2005 STI

Those are all the cars worth mentioning on here and I should say I absolutely loved all of them. Still would like to get my hands on a new STI/Evo X as a daily.
