Push the steering wheel all the way down, and you’ll see the button to change the display/reset it. It is very hard to see/reach with the steering wheel in the up position.

Ah… I’ll have to check it out… As you can probably guess, I’ve got the steering wheel all the way up so I get my legs in there. 🙂 Thanks Steve!

I bought my car in Oklahoma, and I drove it back to Ohio. About 2 hours into the trip with my wife riding shotgun, I said the same thing: “Hmmm…this thing doesn’t have a trip meter. I knew these were no frills cars, but damn.” My wife pulled out the owner’s manual and discovered that it in fact did have a trip meter…I was floored (and a bit relieved).

To this day, I still have a hard time reaching the button (I reset it every fill up out of habit).

Might be a really dumb question, but are there any controls to change the odometer to display anything else like a tripometer at least? I know these Gen’s don’t have all the bells and whistles, but I think even my 85 VW had a tripometer. LOL!
